Too close!
I quite often use the zoom on my 100-400 mm lens but for birds it mostly stays at 400mm. I was in the cemetery across the road when I heard a woodpecker. I looked all around but couldn't see it ... until I looked straight ahead and saw this young woodpecker about 2 metres away on a birch trunk. It then ignored me while I took a couple of shots, zoomed out, zoomed in a bit, and so on. I had lots of fun. More to follow...
