Tortoise Shell Beetle
Tortoise Shell Beetle (Family: Chrysomelidae) I estimate this beetle to be ca. 1 cm long (0.39 in) and a little less in width. Photographed at Ro Macho de Monte east of Cuesta de Piedra, Chiriqui Province, Panama. Southern foothills of Volcn Baru at ca. 800 m (2,625 ft) elevation. Disturbed lower montane cloud forest and riverine.

Beautiful capture of this wonderful beatle, Stanley. I got a similar critter in Hong and was wondering what it is called. Now I knew it and I will post it too. TFS.
