Tree Creeper. A lifer! (Certhia americana)

A rare sight for me. This is only the 2nd tree creeper ( a brown tree creeper) I've ever seen, and the first I managed to get a shot of. At first I took it for just another nuthatch, until I noticed it was moving differently. They're so quick, and frustrating! This is the best shot I managed before it flew off, too bad I was so far away.

Ooooh Bill... how well you've done with this picture. I know just how hard this species is to catch. I saw them regularly before I had a camera good enough to get a shot.... then I didn't see one for years LOL.

Finally did it this year!!

A super picture - very well done lad.

Well done on such a lovely capture of your newbie, Bill.

They do blend in too! It is always a good day to find one of these gems Bill. Congratulations on getting your first picture of one. Hopefully, the next ones will come much sooner (lol). I like seeing the habitat you found it in. Marvelous work Bill!!!!
