Tree Swallow (Tachycineta bicolor)

There were several of these nesting in boxes set up by the "Sea and Sage" Audubon chapter. I was regularly getting a not to subtle buzzing to remind me I was not welcome.

If he knew what a lovely portrait you were taking of him, he wouldn't be so annoyed!!! ;) I love this picture with a Swallow perched on vegetation (ours don't do that so frequently) and the bright colours!!! It was worth it to stand the Swallow complains, Mark!!! :t: :t: :t:
 
I really like these birds and their iridescent blue. They've been fun to photograph here (Canada) as well. Great shot.
