Excellent shot of a most attractively marked species. I saw one here at home once, 30 odd years ago. If it happened once it can happen again.
I read this about the Treecreeper recently in JA Baker's The Peregrine: "As he climbs he may press his tail against the tree for support, but this is not done invariably; often there is a gap of an inch or two between tail and tree. He can walk sideways, or head downwards, like a nuthatch". The last sentence is surprising, but Baker was obsessively meticulous in his observations, and I don't doubt he witnessed such behaviour.
