Gulf Coast Marshes and Prairies vegetation area, barrier island. From board walk through a brackish/freshwater marsh.

South Padre Island Convention Center, South Padre island, Cameron County, Texas, USA.

Excellent capture of this hunting heron. Brilliant timing and splash action. Just finished a documentary about the Great Lakes. Terrible Sea lamprey pest there.
