Tricolored Heron
Posing nicely in mangroves. Formerly called "Louisiana Heron," the turquoise bill indicates an adult in courtship plumage. After courtship the bill of both sexes turns yellowish. This the larger, darker subspecies "E. t. ruficollis" found North and middle America.
