Trifoliate Orange
Trifoliate Orange (Poncirus trifoliata: Rutaceae) This is an introduced and naturalized small tree that ranges from 4-8 m (13-26 ft) tall. The flowers are 3-5 cm (1.2-2.0 in) across and bears green pubescent ripening to yellow pubescent fruits 3-4 cm (1.2-1.6 in) across. They are very bitter and are considered inedible. Growing in coastal hardwoods above the northern end of Lake Anahuac, Chambers County, Texas at an elevation of ca. 2 m (10 ft).
