Trogon
I think this is a black throated trogon. I saw it in Playa Del Carmen Mexico when on Vacation a few years ago. It is so elegantly beautiful.

That's a superb picture you've taken of this trogon lass - very well done.

After some research, I think this is probably the Black-headed Trogon (https://www.birdforum.net/opus/Black-headed_Trogon). Black-throated isn't found in Mexico and has a yellowish bill, rather than horn-coloured, which your one shows.

Of course, I've never seen either of them LOL, so if you would like some confirmation you could try asking in the [COLOR="Blue"]ID forum[/COLOR] - they'll be only too pleased to assist you, I'm sure.

Also, thank you so much Delia for your very kind comments and also for letting me know that this is a black headed trogon not a black throated trogon. You are so right! :) I got the two trogons mixed up. LOL
