is definitely a dominant feature of the California airways. Daytime TV, that is. Turkey Vultures roost at night. But I don't think I ever see a daytime sky without at least one TV (aka TUVU) somewhere overhead - near or far, circling, rising on a thermal, cruising by sniffing for carrion, or coming in to feed at a carrion site. Well, the exception would have to be veeery early in the morning. I did used to see them still roosting when I would go for a pre-breakfast hike up the mountain when visiting my parents who then still lived on the farm where I grew up. On foggy mornings, they might still be roosting in the trees at 6am. But once the sun starts making thermals, then there's always at least one TV visible somewhere in the sky.
