Ugly or beautiful? (Corvus frugilegus)

I suppose it depends on the point of view! :-O We have hardly any Rook in my country and their strange face fascinate me, as well as the purple shine of their plumage. So I was dying to get a pic of one for my gallery during my holiday in UK... aim achieved in Wales!!! :bounce:

I would say "both", but whichever, it is lovely! What's more, it has got a friendly look!
 
Excellent feather detail in this close-up, Marian; a typical intelligent-looking expression too, very well done. And they are all "beautiful" when you take the time to really look at them |=)|.
 
I do not know if it is nice or not but for sure it is a good close-up. The plumage is very well shown despite it's darck color.
