Under the table ... (Sciurus vulgaris)

but not drunk. Not sure why the Coal Tits toss out so many seeds. Maybe they don't want to bother opening ones they decide are "too light", concentrating on the ones that promise most food value for the effort. Maybe they plan on coming back for more later, down in the grass where they feel less exposed? Or maybe they enjoy watching the squirrels ...?

Very few of these guys left in the US. Well, not what their population was here many years ago. A lovely image of this Red Squirrel Doc.

Aaaaah.... but they're working in cahoots Ann, that's what they're doing LOL. Tit tosses 'em out for the squirrel, when he's had enough he stashes the rest somewhere and the tit gets them from there.
