Unexpected guest
Chickadees, nuthatches, blue jays, downy and hairy woodpeckers, these are the usual birds I see standing on my front deck handrail. When I looked out my window this morning I was NOT expecting to see this Northern Flicker taking a curious look around. They are usually very shy and easy to startle birds. This is a young one I'm sure.
Habitat
Apparently, my front deck.
