Unfortunately (Haliaeetus albicilla)

Harry made the grab with his back to us. So not a classic talons-first profile shot, but he did give us a great close-up view of that back plumage. Also unfortunately, the grab was too fast for me to twist the zoom ring further in to get him all in the frame, but then having his wing tips stretch beyond the frame edges does convey how big he is. And how close we were. Full frame at 350 mm.

A nice, real-life action shot! This stands on its own to me, no matter how you lament not having had time to do something. It doesn't need anything. It makes a statement.

An eagle has to be one of the most graceful, yet powerful, creatures I've ever seen.

A frontal shot would have been classic, but this frame does convey the thrill of the action!

I think that's a cracker Ann, it's great to be able to see the full white of the tail.

Excellent close-up work lass ,thanks.

a stunning shot, Ann, awesome feather details, great sequence and many thanks for sharing these marvelous moments with us!!

I understand your frustrations we all expect what we want when we put that camera in our hand but this still is a smashing portrait. You have mastered those aerial flights. My aerial shots look like they were taken with the Kodak from yesterday's years that the film was printed by the drug store.
