Thought it was a magpie goose and had not noticed irridescent feathers on them but think it's a duck of some sort. Identity help appreciated. Keeping up the piebald bird theme :D
Dunno for sure David, but I think your initial thoughts were on the right lines. However, I don't think it's a pure one probably, but perhaps one that is descended from a promiscuous partnership LOL.
