'Up close and personal!... (Dacelo novaeguineae)

Another of my finds in this very exciting place outside Gisborne! I was walking along through the forest and a Kookaburra was being chased by two Pied Currawongs and landed in a tree not far ahead but by the time I got out of the bushes and branches it went off a bit further!....As I turned to go back to the car and Pete for lunch the Currawongs made their move again and this time there were two Kookaburras and this one just sat and watched me doing Rose's Sidle! lol....only had to crop this up and down.....the look says it all! I get to see the Kookaburras at Serendip Sanctuary, Lara when I go there but this takes the cake..lol.. when I'm out in the wild.... up close and personal! ..Do hope you like it!
