Urban birding (Sturnus vulgaris)

Another shot from my first day in Barcelona (last Monday). A fairly typical urban birding day: House Sparrows, Gulls (it is a major harbour city, after all), Magpies and Jackdaws, three types of pigeons/doves, a couple of Great Tits, two species of parakeets (typical for many big cities in Europe now) ... and Starlings. I'll slip in a Barcelona pic now and then among my CA trip shots, just to keep me from feeling horribly delayed.

Gosh!! He is looking well Ann.

What a great picture to get of this shiny Startling - very well done lassie.

Great shot - he's looking a bit ruffled, but still very iridescent - nice one!
