In response to Mohamad's statement, the SX50 has a "SuperFine" setting for JPEGs which, in good lighting, will yield pictures like this one. Coupled with the CHDK (Canon Hack Development Kit), one of the motion sensor scripts available online and a popular backyard feeder I am fortunate to capture interesting poses and interactions not easily taken.
