Vermin ... Who ? (Accipiter badius)

The Wilderness and
Wildlife in India has
already shrunken
to shamefully
low level ...

Despite that Union
Environment Minister has
made a very disturbing
... and equally
disastrous statement
of some animals being
branded vermin and
be cleaned-up ...

Whatever his intentions
... if allowed it can
end up in total
calamity ... given
the current
social milieu ...

This Lady Shikra
seems to be quite
angered about it ...

___

Summer birding day out
for me and Renu
today ...

A great caption that fits the expression on the bird's face perfectly. A stunning close-up portrait of this shikra, Alok.

As well she should be! As "vermin" means animals "that are sometimes harmful to plants or other animals and that are difficult to get rid of" I should think the term applies better to that minister than to any wildlife!
