View from the front porch of Montpelier

I was hoping to get some nice wildlife photos on my trip to Virginia. Well I did not get a chance to shot any but the scenery was beauiful. This is the view James Madison, 4th President of the US, and his wife Dolly had from their front porch. I think if I lived there I would find it difficult to ever leave. The fencing you see in the photo is for horses. The farm now is home to retired race horses. Bet they got it made.
