I kept creeping closer and he kept moving further away. I think he just gave up in the end and paused for the photo opp

Ian, I'm more a photographer than an ornithologist at present, but my guess is it's a simple Brown Falcon. Happy if someone would like to correct me. He was just looking for lunch and I was getting in his way.

Beautiful golden light really lights up this pretty redhead. I reckon its a female Australian/Nankeen Kestrel. (Males have greyish heads) Great work.
