waiting in line (Psittacula krameri)

This ringe-necked Parakeet wants to get to the peanuts in the feeder, and waiting for one of his mates to leave.
Location: back garden in Amsterdam NL. Photo taken through the window. In 2013 there were thought to be approx 10000 of these birds living in the bigger towns in the western part of the Netherlands.

They are so pretty; this one is posing very nicely for you, Anne.
 
For tropical birds, they have proven very adaptable to colder conditions. Saw some in Sefton Park in Liverpool last week.
