Waiting in the birch

Waiting in the birch (Parus major)

I do try to take shots of them in more natural settings than the feeder and shed wall perches, but then they are a bit further away. This GT is in the birch on the top of a little blueberry knoll, just a few meters away from the shed. The various tits use this birch and the pine beside it as a more distant waiting spot than the shed wall and also use branches there to hold their seeds against as they hammer them open.

A great shot of this Tit Ann and it stands out beautifully in that setting girl.

Lovely pose, Ann, and the setting and lighting is so pretty.
