saw these little beauties and think this one is a chiffchaff.i am trying to id birds more now.birding does get addictive and i just want to see more and learn more.

You could be right, but it's hard to tell. Could also be Willow Warbler. Chiffchaffs are chubbier, if that helps. And this one does look chubbier than your juv WW, but then that could also be the angle of the shot. Chiffies tend to have a fainter "eyebrow" and a clearer eye ring ... which this one does seem to have. But color patterns can be misleading. Check with ID forum. Even there I've had votes both ways on at least one warbler image.

A fabulous picture of this cutie Margaret. I am sorry I can not help with the ID. Surely someone will chime in! Excellent picture!!!!
 
Great capture, Margaret; I'm not sure there's too many people can tell CC from WW... flip a coin, you'll often be right ;)
