Warbling White-eye in the rain
Came across this sweet shot of a mejiro in the rain when we were at the Lelani Estates on the Big Island....two weeks before it all blew up in the Kiluea eruption a couple years back.

A gorgeous image of this seldom seen species here in the Gallery. The perfect capture mac!

Shows off the white eye beautifully and I like the rain falling.

Very sad that all that habitat was destroyed - I suppose the great thing about lava plains is their fertility and ability to regenerate! Lovely image.

How pretty he is David.... I've really fallen in love with the zosterops.

You've a cracking picture of him too lad - very well done.

It's wonderful to see you posting again - I hope you've been keeping well through this last difficult year?
