After weaving my way through the new apartment buildings and the shipyards-now-shopping-mall, counting the birds in all the docks and slips and apartment building shrubberies, I had one last stretch of river before turning off past the old WWII submarine bunkers to Nyhavna ("New Harbour" ) which is off to one side by the mouth of the river. There's a row of Asal trees (Sorbus? Whitebeam?) along there and two flocks of birds - Starlings and Fieldfares - were harvesting the berries. Most of them took off as I came along the trail, but this one Fieldfare warily stood his ground, gambling that I wasn't a threat. The payoff, of course, was having the remaining berries all to himself until his more easily frightened mates returned ;)
Sorry I'm not quite caught up browsing. It's getting late and I just got back from an evening lecture on Trump. Rather depressing, but not sorry I went. I'll catch up tomorrow.
