Water put the fire out
We then went down the hill to the Brisbane Botanical Gardens.

I was hoping to get a postcard for my sister there, but you wouldn't believe the poor choice of cards on offer. After that I had great difficulty buying cards. In the UK at a holiday town virtually every other shop will sell them, but not in Australia; "nobody sends cards nowawadays". My sister would have been furious if I hadn't sent her at least one from each of my locations. Rant over!

Anyway, we went round to the Fernery, which has a rather splendid glass roof and found this Australian Water Dragon on the path.

Cute, isn't he.

Very cute! And just to bring impressions up to date (as with your Currowong?) ... you DID find cards eventually. Many, in fact. I received four, and I'm sure you sent at least as many to your sister ;)
