Water Python

Water Python (Liasis fuscus)

Why did the python cross the road? We didn't ask. We (that is, our drivers/guides) just stopped our vans to block traffic while it made its way safely across.
Habitat
roadside near wetlands
Location
NT, Australia
Date taken
20 Aug 2018
Scientific name
Liasis fuscus
Equipment used
D90, 80-400
You had a great view of this python and how good of the drivers etc to allow it safe passage.
The amount of roadkill you see in the UK I think a lot of motorists go out of their way to kill hedgehogs , foxes and badgers etc !
Nice one Doc.

I guess the guides/drivers are on high alert to spot all creatures.... and they wouldn't be too popular if they killed anything, would they!! Still nice to see they do care, though, isn't it.

A super picture of this python Ann. Nice work here lass.
