Waxwing
Waxwings had been reported around my area on a number of occassions over the last couple of weeks and each time I've been to the sightings they've not been there.
Came across a flock of 17 when going out today and not even purposely looking for them!
Habitat
Rowan trees
Location
Newcastle, Staffs
Date taken
Boxing day- 2008
Scientific name
Bombycilla garrulus
Equipment used
Canon 5D + 100-400mm IS USM
Isn't that always the way, to find the birds when you aren't looking for them. Great capture!!!
