I feel really bad for being away from Birdforum for so long! I'm trying to find excuses, the only acceptable one is that I had a lot of illustration work this year, and this caught almost all my attention.
It was a really nice opportunity to come back to read all the nice comments about my work in the wildlife art forum. Once again, thank you very much for all of you!
This painting is the one that won the Birdwatch Artist of the Year Award for me this year. Telling the truth I had real difficulties with this, eg. the mud took 2 weeks to complete, the painting was sat aside for almost half year, etc. Full story and work in progress here:
