Manjeet my Malysian mate this one's for you. Glad to have you back (now just stay away from that lightning....YOU HEAR - LOL!!! ;) :-O ).

As for the image itself the white Background is the unfortunate result of white clouds reflected in the water and exposure of the bird has resulted in a complete blow-out of it thanks to the sun beng in an awkward position too. I think it was something like 1/125. Anyway enough excuses from me (he he), it was still very close to my hide and an encounter I shall treasure.

You treasure this Adam!! it is awesome my friend , as for excuses LOL it stands out superbly, and the white BG does no harm at all to this wonderful image and fine dedication :t::t::t:

Terrific, Jaff - I'd dearly like to get a shot like this. Or even to see a Kingfisher come to that. :)
