It seems she was happy to see me!

I was so hoping I'd see a shoveler, I've a real soft spot for them, as they always seem to be smiling, and you have to smile when you see that over-sized bill, don't you.

Sadly the male wasn't around, and it was some days before I caught up with one of them.

Looks to be doing some wing flaps for you D. No matter what they look like in plumage, that bill is a dead give away that its a Shoveler. Great job!
