How do you even get this close to owls? I've only ever managed to get distant views of owls... great image.

I visit the site most mornings before work, so in winter I get there whilst still dark. I just stand close to where it flies past to return to roost. One morning, it paid off as it returned after the sun had come up. Took me a few years to get this close!

Lucky to have owls in your area, seems like they are becoming more and more scarce.
