Western Bonelli's Warbler (Phylloscopus bonelli)

Such a sunny day again, glorious. Yesterday I visited a site with no less than 5 singing Bonelli's warblers, being a species I've only seen once before I was hoping to get a view of one - no such luck. Then today I had a little walk around some sunny slopes by the Citadelle where I met with this happy chappy.
Scientific name
Phylloscopus bonelli
A glorious sunny picture!! Marvellous composition and rendering of the light, great arrangement of the colours and a superb expressive little bonelli...I love!!

And please,Nick post more paintings again!

Glad you like it, I'll hopefully be painting a lot more in the coming weeks, I haven't been painting much recently, I don't really know why! But the nice weather has really been a tonic and I'm back into it at the moment.

Super,Nick!! Here too,les gens semblent enfin tous pleins de bonne humeur et d'entrain...le soleil a cet effet l sur nous quand on a eu si peu depuis si longtemps.

Nice to see you posting again Nick. This is a lovely, vibrant painting. Don't leave it so long next time? Cheers from Steve.
