Western Diamondback Rattlesnake (Crotalus atrox: Viperidae) This snake was ca. 1.5 m (5 ft) long with a girth of ca. (31-33 cm) 12-13 in.
Habitat
South Texas Plains vegetational area. Mesquite and brush grassland at 23 m (75 ft) elevation.
Location
Laguna Seca Ranch, north of Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas, USA.
