Another gorgeous image Stanley. Lovely colours and exquisite detail. The smaller shorebirds are possibly my favourite birds, because they can be so difficult to identify (especially out of breeding plumage) but so beautiful to look at. As far as this pic is concerned, all the usual photographic superlatives apply.

I've seen some of your species as rarities over here, but never Western Sandpiper, so the enjoyment of this image is tinged with just a little heartache!
