Western Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio rutulus)

The most common of the three look-alike species in our area. Pale Swallowtail is larger with more angular wings, has broader black stripes and is paler in color. The similar two-tailed Swallowtail ranges in the interior avoiding the coast.
