Western Wallflower (Erysimum capitatum)

This widespread member of the mustard family occurs locally in the High Sierra where it is assigned to the subspecies "E. c. perenne" characterized by having a rosette of more or less spoon shaped lower leaves. It is sometimes split as a separate species, the Sanddune wallflower (Erysimum perenne).
