What are these things?
Doc Duck

What are these things? (Parus major)

And are they edible?
Answer: Yes, but they're not ripe yet.

Sorry folks. I've been experiencing trouble on the BF site. It keeps going "unavailable" on me due to slow response times. Doesn't seem to be a problem with other sites, so maybe BF is being trolled by bots that are slowing it down? Anyway, I didn't manage to get caught up on browsing Thursday, in between baking pies for today's memorial meal after my b-i-l's funeral (His parting message to us all, btw: If I'd known how easy it was to stop smoking, I'd have done it years ago and stayed alive! Just thought I'd share that in case anybody out there needs to hear it.) Kind'a worn out now, so I'll try to catch up with you all tomorrow. Meanwhile, here are my three contributions to Saturday fun (a few hours early)

What a great and unusual view to get of this tit Ann. A great caption for SF too.

I'm so sorry to hear about your brother in law, what a shame.... wise words he said too.

Also sorry you're having problems accessing BF, I've not heard anyone else having difficulty. Before delving any further, could you try a different browser and see if it still happens with that one. Mind, it could just be the weather!!!;)

Great Great Tit behavior shot, Doc! One of the best decisions I ever made was to stop smoking.
