My daughter saw this in the driveway of a friend. They are wondering what it is. They saw this in Vermont (USA). I am sure this is not native to the area but have no idea what it is. Sorry for the poor photo but is the only one they took. I would really like to know what it is. Thank You
Looks like a Lady Amherst Pheasant (Chrysolophus amherstiae) to me. It comes from China and Burma, but there are many in collections, so it is surely a scapee. But it is a beautiful bird to come across, isn't it? Cheers!
