To understand this image I had to google what it is limpkins eat. The answer is apple snails, other mollusks, and occasionally insects, lizards, slugs, etc.

a great bird ann and behaviour.apple snails i have seen some pet shops sell them here for fish tanks.all the best margaret.

I've heard of apple snails, but never seen them.... wonder what they taste like? LOL

Limpkins fascinate me really - such a wonderful name they have!!
