What passes for foreplay amongst Oystercatchers (Haematopus ostralegus)

Having started this set yesterday, I figured I'd better finish it up. You'll want to know how they got on.
I didn't see any courtship rituals that preceded this mating, just the female tipping her body forward with a quick backward glance and he hopped onto her back. But that's not to say there was no "romance" or feelings involved.
Habitat
fjord, shallow bay at low tide
Location
Trondheim, Leangenbukta
Date taken
03 May 2015
Scientific name
Haematopus ostralegus
Equipment used
fz200 +2.2
Great behaviour capture, Ann. (The "foreplay" is probably the subtle behaviour we don't recognise as such ;) )
