Looks like this eel was on its way of tying a nice knot around the bird's beek, but I guess the cormorant won in the end. Very nice shot. Well done.
 
Excellent capture! So was this really the end for that huge fighting eel as it was swallowed down wriggling/alive?? Once inside the stomach how can the bird keep down and digest (bones and all?) the formidable looking prey? Or would the eel stand any slim chance of damaging the birds insides/stomach or even escaping with its obvious thrashing inside here?! Sorry for all the questions, but thanks for all the info/feedback! doing a report on the digestive system of water birds and am not too knowledgable yet. ;)
