When I was staying with my brother, it was very hot weather during June (does that seem a long time ago LOL}. With my brother's poor health and my walking difficulties, outings were not really what we wanted to do. So this day we decided to have a packed lunch and eat it across the road in the grounds of the church, where there was plenty of shade from the large building.
Of course I took my camera with me and spotted quite a few birds, including this Common Starling on a neighbour's roof (a bit distant, so I had to zoom right in).
He seemed to have an awful itch up by his ear - I'm surprised he didn't lose his balance LOL
