When you've got an itch!
When I was staying with my brother, it was very hot weather during June (does that seem a long time ago LOL}. With my brother's poor health and my walking difficulties, outings were not really what we wanted to do. So this day we decided to have a packed lunch and eat it across the road in the grounds of the church, where there was plenty of shade from the large building.

Of course I took my camera with me and spotted quite a few birds, including this Common Starling on a neighbour's roof (a bit distant, so I had to zoom right in).

He seemed to have an awful itch up by his ear - I'm surprised he didn't lose his balance LOL

it really goes for it, Delia, well spotted and great capture against a lovely backdrop, love it, many tfs!!
Delia, is that a Starling? I love their markings and of course, they have a sheen you know I just ask Alexa if they are in the USA and she said yes, I have never seen one in person sure like to. You know Delia it's not what you can't do but what you quit trying to do. I have had back problems that were so bad that I couldn't move thank God my chiropractor has helped me mend with his rehab machines and of course his adjustments I swear by them. God bless you.
Great pose and capture. The roofers did a great job too. Well done.
Getting older is not an easy challenge.
Nothing like finding that right spot to scratch that itch! That's very well spotted Delia, and from a long distance. Great work.
Seems like you and your brother found a nice pleasant spot to have lunch (y)(y)
That yellow bill showing its in breeding plumage shows nicely along with its iridescence. Terrific action and behavioral picture D! TFS!
