Where did I drop the soap? (Fulica atra)

This coot was searching over the water. It almost looked as though it had washed its beak and forehead and was now trying to find the soap to clean the rest of its sooty body.

Wow, the feather detail is outstanding of a bird that makes it difficult to bring out. The water effect is great and the lighting is perfect. Don't know how much more you want out of an image, this one has it all. The white on the front of the crown really serves as a very good focal point that brings the whole composition together. Thanks for sharing, it is going to be on my favorites list. :t: :t:
