Whistling Ducks a bit startled perhaps (Dendrocygna eytoni)

Not sure if that's their normal expression but hadn't seen this photo before. Yellow Water pics still hold some gems. Also was unaware of the pink mottled beaks.
Those "painted on feathers" I find astonishing.

anyone interested in wildlife and visiting Australia should put it on their bucket list. Best time of year is the dry season.

They are rather attractive ducks, aren't they David.

That's a super picture you've taken of these ducks - very well done laddie.

I am heading to Oz in a few months, but won't be going so far north sadly.
