White Breasted Dishmop (Sitta carolinensis)

We've had two days straight of rain. Sometimes it's been torrential. A lot of the birds are starting to look quite soggy, like this nuthatch. I suspect this is a nesting female, it looks more bedraggled than even the rain should be making it.

Awww, poor wee thing! He does look pretty miserable. I bet he'd gladly send that rain to California if he could.
