White-breasted Nuthatch
Deanneart

White-breasted Nuthatch (Sitta carolinensis)

These birds are becoming bolder and less bothered by my movements in the hide. When I first started working out there this fall the second I made the slightest noise, including the shutter of the camera, these birds would be gone. The last couple weeks they've stopped to have a look at me and are staying put long enough to get some nice looks. Hope you like this cute one too.

(Things are getting back to normal and we have power again. Woohoo! Just a lot of clean-up remains but the bulk of the larger branches have been taken care of.)

I was listening to NPR radio and they had a report on NH. Still 83,000 without power. Good to hear you're not one of them. Good image. Strange the West coast White-Breasted Nuthatch is not shy at all. Can get with 3 or 4 feet of them. Good image. :t: :t: :t:
