White breasted Nuthatch (Sitta carolinensis)

I've mentioned this before about my nuthatches, both red breasted and white. Both are a very active and quick moving bird, almost never still. However, every now and then I will see one that seems to slip into a quiet, zen-like state for minutes at a time. This one was doing that. It stopped on this tree trunk, and just hung there for quite a while. Even as I moved closer and was talking to it, it seemed totally unconcerned with my presence. I always stop before I get too close, not wanting to disturb it too much.
