Would have NEVER found this female nesting behind a waterfall without an incredible guide. It was very difficult to get a decent image. Even though the subject was dark as coal I didn't want to use a flash on a nesting bird (especially when that bird apparently only lays 1 solitary egg). So the image was shot at 8000 ISO. And then there was the flowing water in front of the bird. Auto focus was totally useless. In the end I managed a few shots without water spots covering the bird. (HOPE this image does not violate "nest" shot rules on birdforum - if it does I'll take it down)
